Counseling and Doula Services

Using my degrees in family ministry in addition to mental health and wellness, working as a marriage and family counselor and postpartum doula, my goal is to help you grow in your relationship with Christ, grow in your character, and grow in the impact you have in this world as a family unit, a husband/wife, father/mother, and man/woman. We will work together to build something authentic, beautiful, and lasting. Regardless of season of life, I will come alongside you to bring encouragement, accountability and skills.

SERVICES CURRENTLY OFFERED:

Marriage Counseling: Trying to keep your marriage strong can be difficult, especially with the added stressors of work, family, and everyday life. That’s why I am here to help. My goal is to provide you with the tools and resources you need to build a strong, healthy marriage that will last a lifetime. I currently specialize in working with couples who are struggling with communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, infidelity, and blended families. Approaching counseling from a biblical worldview, I am committed to helping couples grow closer to God and each other. A marriage that is based on biblical principles of faith, hope, and God’s love is one that is truly unshakeable. I believe that a marriage is a sacred covenant between two people and that through faith, prayer, and hard work, any marriage can be saved. The best days of your relationship can be in the future and not the past. No matter what challenges you may be facing in your marriage, I want you to know that help is available. This marriage counseling program is here to provide you with the tools and resources you need to overcome whatever difficulties you may be facing.

Premarital Counseling: Marriage preparation is often about the venue, the guests and the honeymoon. I want to change this narrative when it comes to marriage. I believe we all want more and better for our marriages. No longer is it good enough just to stay married regardless of our happiness or to get divorced because we never learned how to stay married. Yet, if we want more out of marriage, we must give more to our marriages. I would like our mindsets to shift when it comes to getting support for our marriages. Let’s move beyond seeking support only in a crisis and evolve to getting support early and often before a crisis. Can you imagine if a sought after gift for newlyweds was marriage coaching? I cannot think of any better investment for a newly married couple! How special it would be to give people you care about something that truly impacts the life of their marriage.  If we can learn skills and be accountable to nurture our marriage from the start, the marriage we build will have the best chance at being the marriage we hoped for when we said “I Do.” Over the course of the premarital counseling program, you will take an assessment that identifies beneficial points of discussion as you prepare to share a life with your future spouse. We will use the results of the assessment to build the marriage you want on a firm foundation that can withstand the highs and lows of life. It will also be able to stand as an example of hope for other marriages. Together, we will explore your upbringing and what has shaped your expectations for marriage, we will talk about your beliefs about marriage, the examples of marriages you have seen, and what kind of marriage you want. Being on the same page about key elements of life, such as sex, kids, religion, careers, and finances, to promote unity and understanding.

Individual Coaching (women ONLY!): Unlike business mentoring, discipleship or spiritual mentoring is interested in the process of the formation of disciples in Christ with ever increasing understanding and love for God and His Word. The primary focus of spiritual mentoring is to point you to Jesus Christ and all of His wisdom within the Bible. Jesus taught that discipleship is a call to die, and Galatians reminds us of that. We must completely deny ourselves, pick up our cross daily, and follow Him. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). As your mentor, I am willing to walk through the process of discipleship with you. I will keep you focused on Jesus so that you can grow and be challenged in your walk to grow in your faith and knowledge of God’s Word. The goal is to deepen your relationship with Christ in a way that you build your life around Him, and fully live out your faith.

Postpartum Doula: Encouraging new mothers and families with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to create nurturing and thriving family environments. For the postpartum period, I believe in the transformative power of community, resilience, love, and family. Using compassionate guidance and evidence-based strategies, I aim to help parents build strong connections with children, foster healthy childhood development, and navigate all of the joys and challenges of parenthood. Processing negative and positive experiences together, and being equipped with resources and support I am committed to promoting positive, healthy and harmonious family dynamics that contribute to the well-being of both the parents and children. From nutritional support, birth/postpartum preparation and processing, parental coaching, to blended family resources and encouragement, I am here for you.
